Brain Sludge and Worries

I just had surgery on my sinuses yesterday. This is the 2nd time they have had to go in. I hear the words "polyps" and "fungus" and "tarry" thrown around and I begin to worry. Is this going to be something that happens every 4-5 years? Will this turn into cancer? Will I ever get away from sinus problems?!

I am hoping that the first 2 are No and the last is YES! Here is hoping!

On another note, my Darling Hubby is going to create a BLOG! YAY! He will start one  so he can begin his writing. Im very excited about it and hope that it works well for him.

Well even though they cleared out some brain sludge, it would seem my brain is still sludgy... Im going to bed. Good night! Sleep tight! Dont let the brain bugs bite!!

Gettin' Our Health On!

My husband and I just purchased bikes. We want to get healthy and this is one way we can do it with our kids. Sunday we rode our 1st mile! And we survived! So far we have ridden 1 mile a day. Hopefully we can get to it tonight. Our goal is for him to be able to ride his bike to work (about 3 miles) and for me to ride to the grocery store and ride to pick up the girls from school. We are doing baby steps and are doing pretty good. I havent ridden a bike for over 17 years... I was wobbly, but stayed on. I have a feeling it was the same for Landon.

"Hello, my name is Nolana, and I have an organization disorder. I haven’t been organized in my entire life, but I am taking baby steps to progress."

Yup! That is the way a Disorganized Anonymous meeting would go. I am one to buy the pretty organizers or folders or books. But I always seem to lose them.

Well... NO MORE!! I can stand it! A person shouldn’t have boxes they haven’t looked into for over 11 years. I’m not going to just throw things away. My goal is to look into every single box and find a home for it! Whether it is in my home or someone else’s.


So here is my official Challenge to myself.

Operation Cleanse My Home, Body and Mind
Ya, I like that. How do I plan on doing it? How many times have I "challenged" myself.... and failed? Well, on the second questions... MANY MANY MANY TIMES! On the first? Here is my list....

Home-

1. Pick 1 room at a time

a. Box it all up

b. Take it out of room (I have an enclosed porch)

c. CLEAN the room

d. Fix what needs to b fixed

e. Take 1-3 boxes a day and sit and sort

f. Every other day take “GET RID OF” out of house


Body-

1. Stay on track with Weight Watchers

2. Exercise 3 times a week

a. Walk dogs 1 mile

b. Park a long distance (if I have the time) and walk

c. Wii fit and games

d. Exercise bike ( stop using as clothes rack)

3. Cook more

a. Work on converting ALL the cookbooks into WW friendly or at least figure out points


Mind-

1. Keep going to school

a. Study!

2. Learn different stress reliever techniques

3. Read more books!

a. Start a book club?


For a beginning plan, that sounds pretty good. I am very happy to take ideas.

I will keep you updated!

Learning Technology

Well, it's a new year and I'm working on learning new things. I found a nifty app that let's me blog from my phone! This is great to use on trips or while waiting for the kids or hubby, even to post a picture and quicky blog when they do something cute! I'm excited about this and am very happy to join all of the other phone app bloggers!
